Seeing all the devastation in Houston has left a hole in my heart. As you know, Houston is my hometown. It’s where I learned to walk, talk, read, and write… where I lived, loved, and where I discovered my passion for music. Houston is family and no matter where I go, it will always be “home.”

In an effort to help raise awareness and much needed funds for families hit by Hurricane Harvey, I've taken the liberty of recording Lee Hazlewood’s song, Houston, and added new  lyrics with the help of Janine Sharell and Mark Winkler.  Whereas the original, made popular by Dean Martin in 1964, was a song of desperation and despair, this version speaks of the hearts and hands that have come forward in the wake of this tragedy to help and to heal.

Well, it’s lonesome in my hometown
Since the rain came falling down
But helping hands can ease the pain
And make a rainbow from the rain
